Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer in the Food and Beverage Manufacturing industry in the state of Manipur, North – East India has been in existence for almost 3 decades since 1991. Armed with nothing but a dream, it was founded by Thangjam Joykumar Singh. The company started its operations as a small food processing unit with a meagre number of just four employees, manufacturing fruit squashes. Today, we stand as a full-fledged medium scale Foods and Beverage company, manufacturing a wide range of food and beverages under the Brand name “Likla”.

Manipur, being a part of the North East India, it is quite famous and known for its availability of range of tropical fruits and vegetables. We process a wide range of fruits and vegetables sourced from the region and produce around 10 MT per day in Food & Beverage products. We have a production capacity of 4 MT per day in Bakery goods and installed capacity of 40,000 litres per hour in packaged drinking water.

The company comprises of four different divisions; namely, Foods & Beverage division, Packaged Drinking Water Division, PET Bottle Blowing Division and a Bakery Division which are equipped with a state of the art infrastructure and technologies. The Company now collectively manufactures over 100 varieties of quality food and beverage products.

The company has also marked its footprints across the state by launching Exclusive Retail Outlets under the Franchise model. We have Thirty Five Retail Outlets operating currently at different main hubs in the city and beyond. On the other side, the company also generates opportunities for the Entrepreneurs by venturing into the Franchise business under the Likla Bakery banner.

In 2018, the Company diversified into the education sector with a vision to foster a unique and progressive learning style for the toddlers and kids by establishing a pre-school under the Brand name “JJ school Montessori” at Imphal. JJ School is equipped with beautifully crafted classrooms with an aesthetic design along with state of the art facilities, facilitated by our highly trained teachers.

Today, the company stands tall as one of the largest employer in the state by employing nearly 800 direct on-roll employees and another 300 in sales & distribution network. We keep the Diversity and Inclusion to the core when it comes to employment and we welcome and include people resources from all diversities and perspectives. In addition to this, the local farmers across different districts of the state are empowered and supported through assured buy back of their produce at pre-agreed prices. The association with Thangjam Agro has not only raised the earnings of the farmers, but also their social status.

The Company also supports and extends its services to few Educational Institutes in the state as their Industry Partners in the field of Food processing and preservation technologies. Currently, we are partnered with MIMS, Manipur University, DM Community College, Thoubal College and Imphal College and provide industrial exposure and training to the students. As a partner, placement opportunities are also being provided to the students from these institutes.
