Time flies so fast… 30 years and more with Thangjam Agro! Each passing day is filled with memories since the first day of joining though I couldn’t remember the exact date, it was in the year 1984 when life was unsure thinking about what to do next, happened to meet with our Managing Director Mr. Thangjam Joykumar and till then the journey of growth has started under his generous guidance reaching towards new heights of success. Time has flown and I cherish all the memories of the people I have met during this time.
During this course of time, I value both team work and specially the allotted task given to individuals. One thing which I like about our team is that everyone is self-driven and reliable for their own deliverables. I appreciate the strong team who worked relentlessly despite their positions and levels towards the common goal to achieve timely and best delivery of our services. And no task is more important than serving our valued customers to their utmost satisfaction.
The company has now developed and well-structured comprising of management level to production level, however the joint efforts of the entire team makes our company stand strong and complete just like a well rooted tree which cannot get tarnished easily.
I am grateful to witness the growth and the entire journey of success of LIKLA and wish only the best for our continued success in the generations to come.

It was in the year 1984 that I got the opportunity to be a part of Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. My association with the Company started even before the inception of Brand Likla. I was initially engaged into some other assignments as an Assistant to our Managing Director for few years and then later shifted to factory related operations when Likla was launched. The initial period of the company was a bit tough in terms of its operations as things were not streamlined and organized then. Above all these, the staff strength were also too small which made the work allocation quite challenging. My entire journey so far with this company is a roller coaster ride in which every day ends up with a learning. This fruitful journey would not have been possible without the immense support and guidance from our respected Managing Director. Looking at the current growth and reputation of the company today, it’s the difference of Land and Sky, as compared to the initial period. Today, we have strength of almost 600+ employees consisting of semi-skilled, skilled workers and resources with vast technical expertise and work experience in the line of production, marketing, supply chain and administration. Being a part of Likla is one of the best things to cherish in my life as it gave me an opportunity to grow and prosper in my life. I would always pray and wish for the growth and success of the Company in the long run.

When my life was undergoing through an uncertain and unpredictable phase, I happen to meet our Respected Managing Director, way back in 1989 when the company was in a set up stage and I was offered to work for the company. The company was not even registered and all the raw ground works were happening then. We were not given a fixed job role or designation; every piece of work was done together without having any limitations. The only machine during those days was a bottle washing machine and the rest relied on manual. 2009-2010 was the time when the company started gaining remarkable visibility in the market and company started growing progressively. Being a part of such a great company is a life changing experience for me. I was assigned to perform different roles and got exposure in different fields through which my learning curve kept on growing and still goes on. I am totally clueless imagining where I would have been now if I was not associated with Likla and I am really thankful for everything and I pray to the Almighty for more success of the Company.

16th October 1996, Wednesday was the day I joined Thangjam Agro. There were only 5 employees then and everything was done manually but now comparing to those initial days, there is a lot of growth as 70% of the work is done using machineries and reducing the workloads consequently. I could see a remarkable growth in the Company in terms of expansion and strength of employees.
Talking about my personal growth I have gain a lot of experience as I was exposed to different job role like working as a production staff, salesman and marketing and even in finance piece. In short, working with Thangjam Agro for around 20+ years, what I could say is that I am really grateful for making me a part of such a great company where I could grow and learn. I would love to work with full dedication and commitment in the coming years too and wish Likla all the best.

It was a team of just 5 or 6 when I joined Thangjam Agro around 29 years back. Being one of the oldest female employees, I really feel proud and empowered to be a part of this company to witness this long journey it has gone through. I literally feel like I am seeing the growth of a baby which passes through different phases with utmost care and undergoes several developments months by months, year by year till it gets matured. The way the brand Likla was developed and brought to limelight is just phenomenal.
As we say Work is worship, to me Likla is like a Temple where we all work with a devotion to what we do and get inner satisfaction and learning as blessings in return. The youngsters working here are really vibrant and energetic which makes me even more motivated and passionate at work. My job at Likla as a Supervisor is really rewarding and empowering. Everyone in the team is well connected and shows mutual respect, trust each other, has a strong commitment and sense of belonging towards the work which creates harmony in the work environment. Using the abundant resources of different tropical fruits grown in our state, the company strives to produce several foods and beverages with high quality and market it in different places. This in turn plays a crucial role in providing livelihood to many farmers in the state. Today, Likla is impacting people’s lives by providing employment to the upcoming youngsters of the state as well. It helps many of us to run our family and be independent and I am really glad to be a part of such a great organization.

It was in the beginning of 2012 that my son who is just 2 months old got sick due to a rare disease and due to which I decided to move back to my home town leaving my job in Karnataka and joined LIKLA. In the beginning I was a bit sceptical with my job profile because shifting from a lecturer job to a food industry was not that easy. But co-operation and support from the LIKLA team helped me fit to my job. My contribution in the growth of Likla may be negligible or non-noticeable but I am very much thankful to the Managing Director of LIKLA for recognising me and my work. Sometimes people used to ask me if I feel regret for leaving the Government job, but my answer was and will be always NO. Because I rather give preference and importance in job satisfaction and a pleasant working environment which I find in LIKLA. Today, I am delighted seeing the growth of Likla not on yearly basis but on daily basis. I must say that such rapid growth rate of a company is next to impossible. I really feel proud of myself that I am working in LIKLA rather than regretting for leaving a Govt. job. At the end what you need is to live a happy and healthy life which I got after working in LIKLA.

Since joining Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd in the year 2002, my career has developed a lot during my stint here with many challenges and opportunities. The 15 plus year I have been with the company are the most rewarding and best learning years of my career. I am really fortunate enough to join the company at its early stage in its growth period and I thoroughly enjoyed working here.
LIKLA gave me a chance to magnify my career path from being a worker to a supervisor then into a unit head with the help, assistance and trust from my superiors. Also I thank my seniors Khundrakpam Herojit Singh, Naoroibam Iboyaima Singh, Khaba Lousigam for their generous support given to me for the purpose of making the team better. The hardwork and untiring efforts made by the team to accomplish the entire manual task due to lack of machineries and technologies at the early stages were the mark of dedication and belongingness unity which made our company grow unstoppably. I have learnt and grown professionally as well as personally.

First of all I would like to thank Thangjam Agro. I am really happy and feel proud that I am a part of the ship which is sailing towards the milestone of completing 30 years of successful journey. I started my career in 2009 as a Food Microbiologist in various companies. My journey with Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. started in August 2016 as a Senior Microbiologist in the Quality Control Department. It is the right platform for me as it has wonderful success plan, supportive programs and equipped with all the norms and guidelines which are pre-requisites for an organized and structured organization.

It’s been two years I have been associated with Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. heading the Human Resources function. I landed here in this company with a hope of huge learning, challenging assignments and of course a friendly working environment to boost my career growth by contributing my functional knowledge, skills and expertise in the HR domain. And it will not be an exaggerated statement saying that the company has never let me down with my expectations. It is always my privilege to be a part of the largest food manufacturing company in Manipur, with the brand name Likla which is considered to be the Pioneer in the industry as well. After having worked for several years outside the state, I decided coming back to my hometown, Imphal. Fortunately, one day a golden opportunity knocked at my door and I grabbed it and that’s how I am here today. Well about my profile, to start with, it was an interesting and challenging assignment to create a full-fledged HR team and develop functional procedures, policies and standards for an effective governance and administration. The projects went on one after another and still goes on. I am fully empowered by the top management to perform my duties and meet the job obligations. After a decade long stint in the world of retail, I joined Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. in month of May 2016. It was a transition period for the company from being a proprietorship concern to a corporate world. I could see the changes that we have enacted coming into effect as we are gradually being corporatized. Though there have been many ups and downs, Likla has definitely grown tremendously in the past few years in all aspects. I have been a part of this company for the last five years. My Post Graduation in Development Economics has made me experience the demand & supply theory practically and help manage efficient use of raw materials in my current role as Purchase and Supply Chain Manager.
