Shri Thangjam Joykumar Singh, a resident of Chingmeirong East, Imphal, was born on 1st March 1960 to Thangjam Birachandra Singh and Thangjam Ongbi Maipakpi Devi. He was the seventh child in the family with seven brothers and three sisters.
Shri Joykumar graduated in Business Management from Mysore University in 1981 and post graduated with a Master’s Degree in Economics (Specialised in Regional Planning and Economic Growth) from Bhopal University, 1983.
Shri Joykumar also extends his expertise and service in many Educational Institutes of the State. Notably, he currently acts as a member for Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Manipur University and Entrepreneurship Development Cell, DM college of Commerce, Imphal. He is also the Chairman of the Institute Management Committee, Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Imphal.
Shri Joykumar is also an active member of Lions Clubs International (Home Club: Imphal Greater) and has served as the Club’s President, Zone Chairperson, District Chairperson, Region Chairperson and District Cabinet Secretary in the past. He is also a member of All Manipur Entrepreneur Association (AMEA), All Manipur Food Preservers Association, Association of Food Scientists and Technologist (Manipur Chapter). He is also a former member of Management Board, Central Institute of Horticulture, Nagaland.
